Because we value your voice, your message, and because YOU matter, the Voices of Impact Awards™ is offering a Scholarship for Financial Hardship if you need a break and a chance to show the world how incredible and valuable you are.

How It Works

If you meet all eligibility requirements and are unable to pay the Application Fee, you may apply for a fee waiver by completing a Scholarship for Financial Hardship form. Our administrative team will review your request, conduct our due diligence and in our sole discretion, we may grant a fee waiver to allow you complimentary access into the Awards program.

Persons granted a fee waiver based on financial hardship will not be publicly identified. All such persons will have an equal opportunity and will be given equal consideration to win one of the Awards available.

Any person who abuses the Scholarship for Financial Hardship by providing false or misleading information, or whose request is found to be meritless, will be prohibited from participating, or may be removed and disqualified from the Awards program and must return all training material provided to them prior to disqualification or removal.

Eligibility Requirements

Below are examples of what qualifies as Financial Hardship. If you are experiencing any of the below scenarios, you are eligible for a Scholarship for Financial Hardship to enter the Voices of Impact Awards.
  • You are at, or below, 130 percent of the poverty level set for the United States for the federal fiscal year 2023-2024.
  • You are unable to afford rent or mortgage.
  • You are having to make difficult choices such as choosing between getting medical prescriptions filled vs buying groceries.
  • You are homeless.
  • You recently filed for bankruptcy.
  • Job Loss. You, or someone in your household, suffered a job loss that has caused tremendous financial trouble, such as falling behind on car payments, mortgage payments and other obligations.
  • Medical Costs. A health care issue like a catastrophic illness or injury has occurred and you are grappling with medical debt.
  • You recently got divorced which has caused tremendous financial strain making it hard to pay basic needs.
  • You are a single parent working to provide for you and your children. You’re falling behind and struggling to make ends meet.
  • You are a student working hard to earn a living. However, you are struggling to survive due to the rising costs of housing, food, etc. You are having to make difficult choices about what to eat each week, etc.
  • You are currently on SNAP federal food assistance or receiving food from a food bank.
  • Or a similar scenario to the ones listed above.

Application Process

3. Then you will be redirected to the Application Form for the Scholarship for Financial Hardship.
 
4. Fill out the form.
 
5. You will be contacted by Voices of Impact Awards™ via email on whether you have been approved for the Scholarship. If you are, you will be provided access to the Awards program.
